Rio Celeste and Sloths
The most magical place in Costa Rica
Start the adventure swimming in a beautiful natural waterfall in the middle of a tropical forest, the most famous waterfall in the area. Then we will travel for around 40 minutes to Tenorio National park to explore one of the most beautiful virgin rainforest in Costa Rica where our naturalist tour guide will teach you the secrets of our amazing jungles, wildlife and nature, along this awesome hike (1.8 miles hike each way) we will get to see the world famous Rio Celeste and visit the Celeste waterfall which is a unique magical place in Costa Rica where you can see the natural blue color of the waterfall. After this we will take you to a small local restaurant where you will taste the real authentic Costa Rican cuisine with a delicious lunch that you will never forget. After Lunch we will take you in a short walk to see the sloths up close wild in their natural habitat where you can learn and take pictures of them while you will participate of the quest for some of our world famous frogs including the incredible Red-Eyed Tree Frog and the tiny Poison Dart Frog.
Then we will go to a small local coffee farm where you in a demonstration will taste and learn everything about the traditional natural coffee and chocolate of Costa Rica, no chemicals, all the processes hand made, also will taste natural sugar cane, you will love this authentic Costa Rican experience.

We recommend to bring: Camera, swimming suits, towels, binoculars, ponchos, mosquito repellent, sun block, change of clothes, hiking shoes/boots, water.
Departure 7:20 am- Comeback around 5:00pm
IMPORTANT:
-This tour includes a moderated hike and stairs so at least some good physical condition is needed for the hike part. (Moderated Health)
-Not recommended for pregnant ladies.
-When is raining at the rainforest is very probable that the river will not look blue because of the rain. It can be green or even brown.
-Starting August 1st 2023 the government is requesting to enter the Tenorio National Park (Rio Celeste) a previous online registration of each person. For that is necessary the passport number, nationality full name and kids ages (kids range age is 2 to 12 years old), also the day of your tour to be able to get in the Park you have to bring the actual passport or picture of it in the phone or a copy of it, if not you can’t access the park and will not be able to do the hike and see the waterfall.
If you are not confortable with this government requirement please take a look at the next link, it is exactly the same tour but you don't get inside the national park so you don't have to share any passports information.

Only difference between the 2 tours is that you will go to the hanging bridges instead of the blue waterfall.

-From Papagayo area $145+tax per person.
-From La Fortuna $165+tax per person.
-From Dreams Las Mareas $195+tax per person.
(Request lower price if is 5 people or more).
-From Tamarindo area $195+tax per person.
(Request lower price if is 5 people or more).
-Kids from 4 to 9 years old pay $20 less than adults.
-From some hotels outside our working areas the price may vary a little because of the distance so we have to add pick up and drop off cost.
Costa Rica has a 13% sales taxes over the prices that will be added.
Cancelation Policy
*All cancelations before 72 hours of the service are subject to a 10% service fee.
*Other Cancelations before 72 hours of the service, deposits will be refund.
*Other Cancelations with less than 72 hours but before 24 hours of the service, Company will keep 100% of the deposit.
*No show or Other Cancelations with less than 24 hours client must pay 50% of the balance due.
*Private services, No show or Other Cancelations, with less than 24 hours client must pay 100% of the balance due.
*Deposits for Private boat tours are non refundable if cancellation is with less than 30 days prior to the day reserved.
*Client must be at the pick up location 5 minutes prior to the stated pic up time*
